Ho & Bear came home and we all rested but we meet up for supper. We had the southern tradition, pork roast, rice, black eyed peas, and greens. To 2009 hopefully filled with peace and riches!

Ho & Bear's New Years

Here is the crazy group that thought it would be great to bring in the new year watching a possum drop instead of a ball. Ho is taking the picture, there is Miki and Joe and 2 good friends that went to school with the Bear, Bobby and Marilyn. They had the chance to get their pictures with the big possum, a guy in a costume or watch the beauty pageant full of men. And they call me a redneck. I bet it is great to have such great friendships like they all have.

Dec family night

The church meet and we all went bowling Tuesday night. We all had a great time, we knew we were in trouble when James brought his own shoes.... James won and Warren got the gutter ball award for falling down on his 1st frame.

2009

With the coming of new year's comes the twins birthday. I can't believe that the girls are 12. I can remember that night just like it was yesterday. It was cold and HO & Bear came from Canada. They were so small, not that they are real big now. When I went to get clothes for Tori I bought her 8's. She might be in a double digit pair by the time she hits high school.

We did our annual trip to the Biltmore. It was 33 and the wind was blowing crazy. Here are some pictures we tried to take of the girls..

After drinking some hot cocoa we went to the barn to see the animals. The girls found a friend, but she was do big to fit in the car.

Then it was off to the christain book store to spend the girls gift cards.

Then after that we all went to build a bear. Tori & I made monkeys, Sam made a zebra, and Jenna made a turkey. Jenna did not want any clothes so she got a sound...she did not like the turkey sound they had so she got a make your own sound and used my cell to get the turkey sound from our turkeys. You might be a redneck if you make a turkey at build a bear and use your own turkey sound.

Afterwards we went to Pizza Brewery to watch the disney movie "Beverly Hills Chihuahua" we might be tiny but we are mighty. It was great to try to figure out who all the voices.

Then it was back to Bear's & Ho's because we are dog sitting. We got our snacks out and was waiting for the new year. The girls decided to do a polar plunge. Of coarse it was 22 degrees outside but the hot tub was 104. We took the plunge! Bear and HO were down at the border with some friends to see the possum drop.

At 11:45 we did our 2009 wishes..they are closed up until next year.

Then we toasted at the strike of midnight and wished all a happy new year.

But some liked the toasted better than others.

At the end the girls went to bed tired from their busy day.

Happy Birthday to the twins and a Happy New Year to all.

To a new year!

To a new beginning!
