In the beginning...

I have started this blog because my life is like a funny farm. I am a single mom of 3 beautiful, little, hyper, girls. We live on my family farm, in NC. I knew nothing about farming a year ago but now...I am just acting like I do. We have a BIG white dog...ok he ready is not white anymore more like clay white, we have 10 BAC chickens...BAC you ask??? they don't have many tail feathers so you figure out the code, and 4 little goats. I have a great support system here in the mountains. I counldn't get anything done without them. I have a Bear that is the BEST Granny in the world. She keeps the girls in the afternoon. She helps with homework, gives them snacks, and they make the coolest crafts...some say she misses vacation bible school a little. Then there is Ho. He keeps us going. He is a great math tutor..for all of us that can't complete the 5th grade math...guess I am not smart as a 5th grader, takes us on our wild trips, and helps out with the animals when needed. Then there are cousins, aunts, and uncles that show up daily, weekly, monthly, and whenever needed. Because of them I learned how to wash a cow, how to wear long sleeves when picking hay,and how not to get the big truck stuck in the field. Some of them come to play with the girls. They have showed us were the coolest watering hole is, go get ice cream with us, and even play board games endlessly. I guess I could say it does take a village to raise these girls. There is never a boring moment here. If we are not chasing chickens, we are going to soccer game, or learning a new cheer, or having to run to dance class. Sometimes I wonder if life is ever going to slow down...but I am the one who is coming up with these crazy ideas. I hope you enjoy this blog.
