a sad & rainy day in GA

If you haven't heard Ho's motorcycle trailer was taken last night from a hotel in Ga. They were on their way down to Daytona for bike week, Ho had a meeting in Orlando, and the Bear was going to go see the family. All their clothes, family stuff they were bring to the family, and the bike. This was Ho's toy. His way to get away from the farm full of women. I believe everything happens for a reason but we are wishing bad karma on the buttheads that took all their stuff.

Nature Center

After the girls did their presentations for their projects for the Nature Center we walked around the place. We watched the otter, talked to the wolves, and pet the goats. The girls went to a program about turtles, frogs, & snakes. They touched Mr No Shoulders...eeew. Then it was off to the barn to play trivia...we won 2nd place.

Tori's nature project

For my Nature Center project I did a LoveBug.
A LoveBug is a beetle that causes love, its kinda
like a cupid as a bug. I learned that there is
such thing as a LoveBug. They live in Florida and
come out 2 times a year. On my board I used pink
labels from mom's work. I had a female,a male,and
a baby larva LoveBug. Made out toilet paper rolls,
Q-Tips, and pens/markers.

Sam's nature center project

This year I did a nature project. I did a chipmunk page. It took about three days, but I did it! It was lots of fun. Did you know that if a human takes a baby chipmunk, and puts it back outside it's mom would either abandon him or eat him. When the judge came over I got a little scared. But she was funny. We went to the barn, and we got a certificate. We did not win anything but we had a huge box of fun.

Jenna's nature center project

For the festival of knowledge at the nature center I did a cola bug.it was made out recycle soda cans.I spray painted all of it gold.It is a made up bug that lives in south America. It drinks nectar with its long tongue.I did not get any placings but I have fun doing it.

2 more games

We had a game on Saturday morning...we only have 1 more left. Jenna is doing great...she still has problems with pushing & steal balls. Very aggressive, that's my girl. Sam is having fun with cheer leading and our squad is learning all the routines. Go Upward!!!

Mission Children's Hospital

we went out Saturday to buy a few raffle tickets and see a few friends @ the Asheville Mall..they were doing a radio thon to raise money for Mission Children's Hospital. They were on air for 30 hours and raised over $92,000. They also had an online auction...we won an autographed poster, calendar, & a guitar to start our collection of country star's autographs. It is so great to know that if we ever need it, and I pray we don't, we have the best children's hospital in the south east. To hear the stories of the kids...I have been caught crying the past few days. But Asheville comes together as a large family and helps out the community.

Sam's sleepover

We had Sam's 9th birthday party last weekend. We rented the boyscout camp...yes I know Sam is a girl..and had a High School Musical Party. We did it out at the camp because the big barn is a inside basketball court. We showed the movies on the wall, played HSM trivia, played a few games of basketball...thanks to Tim & Ra...Ra's team bet Uncle Monks..ha ha!..and then we eat pizza. There were 13 girls and it seemed like everyone had a great time. It is hard to believe Sam is 9 rs old. Who else would I have wanted to spend my Valentines Night with... but all the girls. Oh coarse room service was great there..Ho made his famous pancakes Sunday morning. Not much sleeping was done at the sleepover for me.

line dancing

The girls and I went to learn a few line dances on Friday Night. Our regular radio station has hosting a dancing with the DJs. We went and enjoyed ourselves. Jenna even got up and danced. Her favorite was the Mississippi Mud. Sam enjoyed all of them. You can check out Kiss Country's web page she is in 100 of the 149 pictures. Her highlight was dancing with Eddie, from the morning show. Tori enjoyed herself, she watched all the cute cowboys wondering around. I even got up and danced a few. Ok, it took me 3 steps to do the 2 step. My favorite was the Cha Cha Cha with the jump and shake. We are thinking about taking some of the line dance classes they offer.

puppy party

A friend of mine who works with me had a party for her puppy. Sophie turned 1 this past week. Sophie is Eva's sister. They look as much a like as Tori and Jenna do. Lisa had puppy treats, a dog cake, and a play area for the dogs. It was very interesting. I think Lisa needed a girl.

birthdays in Atlanta

The girls, the Bear, Ho, and I went to Atlanta on Saturday. We went down to celebrate Hudson and Mclain's birthday. Hudson turned 1 and Mclain turned 3 yrs old. We had a great time seeing everyone. The girls had the best time playing with Mclain. They played all afternoon on the playground and in the sand. They also helped Shannon get the foam darts stuck in the trees. We ate Moes and enjoyed a piece of cake. I think Hudson enjoyed his cake the most...he was blue by the time he finished his. Tim, Ra, and Emma came over and we had some great family time. Kari said "did you ever think our kids would ever play together?" I remember playing with Kari...we are not old enough to have kids..ok I'm getting old.

Big Ears

I know big ears always run in this family but the girls got to try on some really big ears last weekend. We went to a bat program. We learned about the different kinds of bats, how they fly at night, what they eat, and how they are built like us. We also learned they don't bite people around here and why they sleep in our barn sometimes. Afterwards we went to walk the gardens.
