Father's Day

We all got together to spend the evening with the best father in the world. Ho Ho We had pizza and wings for supper and then it was present time. Now here is Ho looking surprise with the gift he got...Ho pick out the boots..they were riding boots to replace the stolen ones. We had a good time. Check Tori's blog for what we were discussing about belly buttons after we ate. (please take the survey when you get the chance) You know anyone can be a father but it takes a special man to be a Dad. He helps with homework, cooks great meals, drives us anywhere we want to go, and puts up with all of us women. The Father of the year on the Funny Farm goes to Gene Ho Ho Roberts. I can't thank you enough for all you do.

goat barn

Yes we have work to do around our own farm but the twins are working at the Carl Sandburg barn sometimes. They had a great time this past Sunday. The 1st thing they did was muck stales, lay down fresh lime and sawdust. Then they walk the goats, feed the goats, and at the end of the day they put them up. They are learning to work with the public. Do you know the eggs you eat come from a chicken...that is what some teenage visitors said to the girls.

it's hot

it was hot as can be Saturday afternoon...so we headed to the water to cool off
Jonathan took the twins and I up to another waterfall area, the one he wanted to take us to was packed so went went down to another one. There is nothing cooler than the cold mountain water.

Rockhounds are the champ

We played our last playoff game Saturday morning. It was a great morning. We all got dressed in our Rockhound Blue, painted Sam's hair the same color blue, and went to get a breakfast fit for a champ...we went to Dunkin Dounuts..there is nothing better than those blueberry munckins. The game was great...we won 16 to 2. There were grand slams, slides, and a lot of fun. That is one thing I have to say about where we play ball...everyone has a good time always. The girls got their medals and the coaches celebrated by dumping the water on the girls while they were getting their picture taken. Later in the day we all had a cookout at one of the girl's houses. The big water slide was put up, we ate, and then played a game of kickball..kids against adults. What a way end the season. The Rockhound Pound #1.

Moo Moo ran away

We were on the way home and walking down the road was Moo Moo. He was waddling down the road. We called him and he came back. We bribed him with some bread and got him back in his pen. Monty thought he was a nice animal to talk to. Tori was the pig catcher this time. She grabs his tail and held him until Jenna got the harness around. Sam feed him some bread until I got the car to drive him back home. He liked the car...he wants to know when the next road trip is. It had rained to much that he slipped under his cage. Crazy pig..I wanted a BLT after all this was over.

softball camp

Sam, Sammy, Shorty, or to the rockhounds Biscuit...went to TCR's softball camp. She had a ball. On the last day they worked on their slides using the slip & slide. A great program.

end of the school yr award

I don't believe in paying for the girls to do good grades, that is their job but I do believe after going all year and doing their best and not getting into trouble they do deserve something good...so I got tickets to see Sugarland..one of my favorites and Keith Urban...Jenna's favorite. My ear's rang for 2 days..it was amazing...Sh..it Happens and of coarse there are a few Keith songs we all love...Kiss the girl & Sweat thing.
We sang all night. Thanks to Ho & Bear for driving us down there and picking us up in the rain at the door. I was glad it rain today, Sam decided that if they were playing ball she wasn't going to the concert she was playing ball. So, I did the rain dance. Now, Sam got to go to the concert and I still get to see her play ball. Everyone wins!
Sam did good..she only sleep through 1 song.

chicken wings

I have not eaten at a Quicker State & Lube in about 20 yrs. They are as good as I remember. We have one down in Greenville. There are over 15 different types of wings with the atomic wings you have to sign a waiver..not me I just stuck with the buffalo flavor. There are the girls in front of license plates from all 50 states.

Rockhound softball awards

We had Sam's trophy party with the end of regular season. The Rockhounds record was 11-1. A great season especially since these girls get along so well and have a fun time at everything they do. They won 1st place in regular season. We are still playing championship games because of all the weather. Hopefully we will come out tomorrow and win the whole darn thing. Ball season then will not be over...there will be All Stars (shh..Sam doesn't know she made it yet)So BARK loud and proud for our champs from the Rockhound Pound!!!
Thank you Tori for the great signs you made all season long!
I am proud of my #8 little girl Biscuit..she played hard all season long.

A date?

Jenna had her 1st date last Sunday. She and a (boy)friend went to see a movie. I was not ready for this at all. But it was ok. Tori, Jonathan, and I went with her. We gave them space...they sat up front and we sat in the back. They went to see the stupidest movie I have ever seen...Will Ferral the Lost Land. I think I missed part of the movie or fell a sleep. But is was fun. I guess there will not be a second date Jenna broke up with him before I could add it to the blog. He was a nice kids with red hair.

moo cow

I know you all think I am the biggest cow fan after seeing my car but look what the girls and I saw while we were at the Folk Center. Jenna wants this jeep when she turns 16. It is way to cool. MOOO

clay day

The girls and I spend Saturday morning at the Folk Art Center on the Parkway. It was clay day and the girls got to make pots and ornaments. They had a great time.

Jonathan's Birthday

Here are some pictures of Jonathan's birthday. I cooked him dinner (yes I know how to cook, just don't need to..between Jenna, Jonathan, & Ho dinner is usually cooked for me) we had dessert, and hanged out. Yes, the boy is wearing pink crocs that is what he asked for as a present..so the girls got him a shirt to match. Real men wear pink. It goes so well with his red hair.
