July 4th night

We went to Sandi (Jonathan's mom)& David's house for a cookout. After we ate we through horse shoes, I haven't done that since I was a kid at MeMaw's house. Then we let the girls play with sparklers and watch the fireworks. It was a great night. The white twirler ones were my favorite.

Brevard

Ho, the Bear, the girls, & I went to the 4th of July street party in Brevard. We looked at the car show, walked through the crafts, and ended up eating at our favorite BBQ place Hawg Wild. The sun was shining, we were drinking fresh lemonade, and the girls were making a list of the cars they want when they can drive...boy am I in trouble, but they do have good taste.

builders

Ok, we are no Bob the Builder, but my Grandaddies would have been proud. The girls and I went to Home Depot to their building clinic. The girls made picnic caddies for the 4th of July. I had wood glue all over me but we got them together. Can we build it? Yes we can!

sliding rock

I took the girls to sliding rock on Friday since we were all off for the holiday. There were a lot more people from the last time Jonathan took us. We had to wait in line put it was worth it. The water was freezing but we did it a few times. You get to the bottom and forget how to swim because it is so cold. But once you get out you want to do it again. It is like a father said to his son when we were in line..it is like a water park but just in nature.

Butterfly & face painting

The twins are working at the nature center and really enjoying it. They get to do some face painting, hold a snake, work at the barn, and now watch the butterflies. Sam & I went to see the opening of the butterfly hut. It is so cool. They spray sugar water on your hands so the butterflies land on you. Afterwards, Sam & I walked around to see all the animals and ate ice cream. What a great day!

The hay is done!

The boys finally got all the hay cut and put up. Between the rain, Sammy on vacation, & Dusty surgery we finally had time to get it all done.

the Bear's birthday

If you didn't hear the Bear turned 63 last week. We wanted to show her how much we loved her..63 ways..we found 63 things that are older than the Bear. Like Willie Nelson, HO HO, the peanut butter & jelly sandwich, and the electric razor. The girls wrote them on slips of paper and we posted them all over the farm. It was great. For lunch we all meet at Cheddars for lunch. After many glasses of tea and a warm cookie dessert Ho & I went back to work. I hope when I am her age I can enjoy life as much as the Bear does. Peace Granny Bear!

more ball picures

After Sam got done with ball we were having withdraws from being at the ball parks so we have been going to see Jonathan's games. It is fun to see grown ups play ball. But them seem like they have a good time even when they don't win.

All Stars

The all star games where interesting...we won 1 and lost 1...but the other coach Fish didn't want to play a 3rd, but we still had fun...go big orange....Sam did a great job & caught most of the games..
