Life on a farm
OK, John Denner did not know what he was talking about. "Life on a farm is kinda laid back"....not here on the funny farm. It has been a whirl wind 2 weeks. The girls are doing great. They are in their last 9 weeks of school. Jenna is still practicing 2 days a week with 2 games a week, as the girl's soccer manager. Tori has started her monthly trips to the dentist to start her braces. Sam has started back at girls fast pitch softball with practicing at least 2-3 times a week. The usually is still going on but the animals have been coming to the funny farm by 2's the past week. On Monday Brittian had another litter of kittens...she had 5 of them all looking like her. She hide them in the storage room off of the refreshment room. Momma & kittens are all doing great. Tuesday, while at the dentist, the Bear called and said that a box had come...in side was the girls Easter present....colored ducks. We got 6 colored ducks, there is a pink one, an orange one, 2 green ones, and 2 blue ones. I only ordered 5 but they packed more to keep them warm, also inside were 9 chicks. We lost 3 of the baby chicks but the others are doing great. It most have been a fun trip from Texas. The post man tried to give them water he said. We also, this week put the eggs we ordered in the incubator. We have 16 white slikies in there. We hope some come out. I have never ran any eggs in the incubator. Things slowed down a little at the end of the but yesterday Sam and I got them going again. While the twins were off at 4H teen retreat we went to pick up the turks for the fair. We got 8 - 1 week old turkeys. Now the refreshment room is called poultry room. I was on a roll so I also replaced Sam's Christmas present. She got a white gerbil...hope this one does better than the last 2. Well, off to church to get ready for the potluck and egg hunt after the service. This next week is looking as crazy as the past one...2 soccer games, 2 softball practices, 1 trip to the dentist, it is Holy week, Jan is coming, and they are talking about flurries in the forecast. Check the blog later, we will put up all the pictures of the new additions to the funny farm.
